One of the reasons someone would use quotations (appropriately) might be in the case of euphemism, where the quotes indicate that the literal meaning of the word is not intended, but rather pointing to another meaning of the word (given the context).<BR/><BR/>Those aren't toys, and those quotations aren't unnecessary at all.
