My beef is with "educated" graphic designers who use the ubiquitous hash marks in place of real quotation marks. During a talk to a local AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) group, I made them aware of an organization entitled Back Porch Secretary-designers & Monkeys With Typewriters, and told them that the logo for this dubious group could be found on any computer keyboard; as a hash mark.
