seat yourself

Justin saw this in Venice, CA at a restaurant. I guess the hostess doesn't care whether you wait or not, but somebody told her to write that.

  1. Isn't it in quotes because that's what the hostess is supposed to say?

  2. The a's look like funky z's.
I want a new script to read from!
    Please wait to be sezted?
And how hard a sentence is that to just, you know, REMEMBER?

  3. Maybe the hostess has stepped out, and, in her absence, the sign-up sheet reflects her ever-so-polite request. I think it would be better if she left a cassette that actually freaks people out by saying the phrase aloud, but to each her own!

  4. I agree with Morgan. That's quite clearly her script.
And to sendingtheclowns, the service industry, in my experience, loves to break everything down into minute steps to follow. That way there are no mistakes.
