Adults in costume?

Submitter Adam quips, "I don't exactly know what kind of 'kids' are playing on these teams but I wouldn't trust it."

Fake colors?

Submitter Angie writes: I could maybe give them "almond" and "clay" as clarification that the product is not actually made of those things. But "white"?

"no" cell phones

I guess if you're using it to play angry birds you're in the clear. Thanks Thomas.

"Signature of Quality"

You know, the more you think about the meaning of the words "signature" and "quality" the squishier they seem, quotation marks notwithstanding. Maybe I need to reread this to sort it out.

bilingual quotation marks

I guess this "Warning" isn't really serious. Thanks Sohan.

"more" art

I guess there is less art inside? Negative art? Thanks Alec.

It's a song, right?

"And she's cliiiimbing a stairway... to alll floors...." Also, this may lead to a vortex. So, follow at your own risk. Thanks John.

Kids eat "free"

I wonder what you have to pay to feed your kids? The kids THEMSELVES??? Thanks Micah.

"hot" peppers

George spotted this in a basket of jalepeno peppers. I can only hope other, hotter peppers were also available.

"new" underwear

Submitter Camille says this was part of a "carboot sale" in England. This may be the most transparently gross quotation marks I have ever seen.

Rack "Your" Weights

I think the implication here is that you should rack other people's weights when they are finished? And leave yours for someone else? Thanks Livan.

Church Signs Book Available Now

Long-time fans of the blog might remember a similar blog titled Crummy Church Signs, which shut down a few years back. Author Joel Bezaire and friend Rob Kroese put together a book of some of the greatest/worst examples which is available today on Amazon: Temptation Bangs Forever: The Worst Church Signs You've Ever Seen

Not only is this the kind of thing you all might like, but it has an entire chapter devoted to grammar and punctuation problems, with an introduction by yours truly. Check it out!

"home-made" and "cream-filled"

This person's hyphen fixation seems more serious than the quotation marks, but these, uh, cup-cakes may or may not be filled with creamy substance, and who knows where they are made. Thanks Jesse.

Just a guess, but I don't think we're talking about mathematical proofs here. Thanks Zackery.

"yard" "sale"

Some kind of action will happen between 10 and 4 in front of a school, on some date. Actually, it does kind of look like that date was changed, so maybe that's the reason the writer used the quotation marks: hedging their bets. Thanks Jax.

More "Greek" fun

Ok, Justin sent me 3 photos from his trip to Greece, and they are all amazing. Here you can see a hotel room with hidden costs, and some cigars likely produced by machine in Greece. Nice work, Justin. Maybe I should start saving up for a trip to Greece?

All about "Greece"

Submitter Justin spotted this one on a trip to actual Greece, as far as he knows.

Not a "Cup"

Now with bonus wrong spelling of too, who knows what people are really using to(o) scoop ice. Thanks Jason.

Dutch quotation marks

Submitter Ruud spotted this one in Utrecht, The Netherlands and tells me it reads telephone "repair center." So I guess this is where you go to have your phone stolen.

"NO Tailgating"

I guess the special kids get to tailgate. Don't tell. Thanks Melissa.

glad we're all on the same page

Andrew took this photo of an envelope the manual for training equipment came in. Glad to know even the people who made it don't think it's that important.

"free" cupcake?

At least you know if you can figure out what to bring where there will be something involving cupcakes. Thanks Christine.

Don't use your "feet"
