"free" eh?

I guess some tickets are only free in a manner of speaking. Thanks, Kami.

oh, I see, "garbage"

Chelsea spotted this at a Christian High School. It is perhaps where they put bad student work, or trashy media.

we like to call it churchday

Between the quotation marks and the rewritten sign, I would not expect this place to be open at any time in particular. Thanks, Kelly.

This thing between me and the watermelon... it's "personal" ok? Thanks, Justy.

pre-order the book version!

I'm very excited to announce that my book based on this blog will be published on September 1, 2010. You can pre-order it now from Chronicle or other fine booksellers. I worked with some very talented professionals at Chronicle Books and I think this will be a nice looking book and fun to read and put on your coffee table. You will likely see more promotional material this fall, but this blog is still devoted to new sightings of misused quotation marks first, self-promotion second :)

talking drill!

plus something...

I guess it's more like regular frontline. Thanks, Kimberly.

"Dependable" here is a name, not a descriptor. Just to be clear. Thanks, Jason.

cameras can't watch

They are inanimate. And I'm not sure you need to be worried about cameras swearwording up. Thanks, Victoria.

well, you can have a snack before that or whatever

I assume this is a reference to the obnoxious internet fad of posting a comment for which the entire content is "first!" Thanks, Sarah and friend.
