fake logs



Senior Contributor Jim (aka my boyfriend) found both of these examples within feet of each other. I like how they needed the combination of misspelling AND quotation marks to indicate that it isn't really a log. Also, probably really appropriate in the "natural wood fire."

"thanks" for the "gift"

Jm sends me this one from somewhere in LA. Where they have "gifts for him." I think a belt makes a kind of mediocre gift anyway, so maybe that's why it's in quotation marks.

it would be better if it was not a store or not in town


Another one from Jon in Minneapolis. This is another one that falls in that grey area for slogans. Maybe the quotation marks are pointing to the irony of calling the store both big and little?
Incidentally, I don't know what is meant by "ethnic market" - does it cater to a particular ethnicity? Several? Are some markets not ethnic?
