It kind of makes sense since "everyday" means "commonplace" or "ordinary", not "daily".
THAT is a good point. I just was going to comment that "everyday" is one of my absolute most favorite pet peeves. That would seem to be the superlative of pet peeve, but it doesn't look right.
Two of my pet peeves on one place: using unnecessary quotation marks and using everyday as one word when it should be two. (For those who don't know, the only time you should use everyday as one word is when it is used as an adjective, as in "everyday shoes."
