"service dogs"

Slap a vest on your family pet and you're probably good to go. Thanks Kitri.

During my brief journalism career many years ago, I did a story on a woman who was thrown out of a Wal-Mart for shopping with her service dog, an Akita that was trained to recognize a seizure and protect its owner.

What's funny is that the way the ADA is written, this sign isn't far off. If you call an animal a service animal and it's not disruptive, a public accommodation can neither prohibit the animal nor demand documentation. No vest needed. If you have a teacup chihuahua that keeps you calm during panic attacks, feel free to take him wherever you go as long as he's well-behaved.
