I guess grinding up some cow muscles and molding them into a patty then cooking it and putting it on a bun is kind of unnatural. I mean, really. Thanks, Emma.
I think this was taken in the cafeteria at the university where I work (and where our food service provider makes a big deal about how natural all their food is). I'm excited to know there are other "Unnecessary" Quotation Marks fans on campus!
Actually I was going to say it looks like one of the signs in the cafeteria at my office. Maybe they use the same food service provider.
On the subject of the burgers being "natural", I guess you could debate just how natural hamburgers really are. I mean, the meat doesn't naturally come from the cow all ground up and in the shape of a patty.
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

since the words 'no beef about it' are NOT in quotes, i speculate that it is a 'natural' soy burger
This is Elevation Burger isn't it? Proof that people will pay 3 times as much for a poor quality burger just because it's organic.
