"Watsonville" is totally awesome. I think you should give these folks a bye because they were able to spell strawberries correctly.
Watsonville is a city. It is surrounded by strawberry fields, but most of the fields aren't actually in the city. So probably what was meant was that the strawberries were from a farm very near Watsonville, but not actually within the city limits.
This is a correct use of quotation marks, I think.
It's just the property of Mr. Watson.
What gasstation said is true. Watsonville is a city in central California. I live about 40 miles from there. The strawberry fields aren't actually in the city, but they are famous for strawberries and in the summer the city of Watsonville holds a Strawberry Festival.
