Apparently an anonymous quote from somewhere within.
I myself have walked up to a drive through window. This sign would not have put me off because i would already have to be at the window to see/read it. How is that going to keep me safe? Guess they're only concerned about my "safety".
It is not uncommon for the drive through to be open an hour or two longer than the main restaurant, so I have been tempted to walk through the drive through when the late night munchies strike. In fact, a bunch of us did this at a Krispy Kreme once.
I think I remember seeing this gem in Bartlett's Quotations, but the makers of the sign forgot to include the credit. I'm fairly sure it was Oscar Wilde.
I've walked thru too. My problem is if the drive thru is open, this means people are in there - so open the damn door and I won't have to walk thru the drive thru........
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.
