I don't know. "Swimmers" might actually work here. Does anyone actually ever SWIM in the pool? Aside from the lanes at the athletic club and the University, I've only ever seen people bobbing around and splashing- you know, "swimming".
Floating around on an air mattress with a fruity drink in hand is the kind of "swimming" I do.
I occasionally flop into the water and tread water for a little while. But, you know...
What happens to the children in the whirlpool? Do they get sucked under? Do the quotation marks around the 'please' indicate that with some less-well-behaved children, this restriction can be relaxed?
I think it's funny that "swimmers" (or anyone) need to climb steps to get to the elevator.
