"weasel"

Tom saw this in long beach. There may or may not be an actual weasel at this place.

Uhh... the glare obscures it... is that a "Coffee" shop? Because that would be awesome! Maybe "weasel" is a particular kind of "herb"? Also, "Locally World Famous" is the funniest thing I've seen all week. Excellent find, Tom.

There's nothing ambiguous about this sign. Obviously, this is where Pauly Shore lives.

Yeah, I think the "Locally World Famous" is the best part.

The "weasel" is an omelet with chili. Chucks is one of my favorite breakfast joints. Locally World Famous, cause LB is just awesome that way.

You're just wrong on this one. Quotation marks are entirely appropriate for a nickname. Without the quotation marks, they would be stating that they do, in fact, have a small furry Mustela in their shop. With the quotation marks they are probably referring to some local concoction or confection nicknamed the "Weasel".

I'm laughing at the locally world famous. lol

i really think the quotation marks are needed and appropriate here. it is like writing johnny "knuckles" jones. identifying a nickname for a normal food.

I agree with gajillion and commenter.

WTF?

dear whiners: yeah, fine, whatever. The sign is still funny because 1) who would want to eat something called a weasel? 2) locally world famous.

I immediately leapt to the conclusion that the live entertainment is a male exotic dancer.

Hey...I was told earlier today that the home of the "weasel" was the pants of this guy at the bus stop. I think I may have been lied to!

"Locally world famous" is fantastic.
