Hilarious! I grew up in that town and can tell you that actually, Historic Diner IS its name.

The diner was placed on the registrar? Wow. Other than in the Wizard of Oz, I don't really approve of putting buildings on top of people. Was the registrar perhaps a witch?

At first I thought "historic diner" was code for "new brothel," but then I noticed that it used to be the Half-way Diner. So maybe a historic halfway house?
