you know, "golfing"

I don't know what "golfing" is a euphemism for, but if that's common then my view on men I know has just changed quite a bit. Joe saw this at a BBQ place in Columbus, GA.

What I participate in is "golfing" and the resulting stress is not ADDING years to my life.

They're actually mafiosos who like to flog their enemies with golf clubs.

"golfing" but what you're really doing is, yeah, what deckardcanine said, flogging enemies with golf clubs. Or.... other things.

golfing is an acronym apparently - gentlemen only ladies forbidden. I learnt this from two male colleagues of mine and haven't checked up on it but it surfaced from both independently (one is from South Africa, the other Australian) while explaining that I'd been refused entry at a golf club. This may explain both the message and the quotation marks.

Golfing = smoking weed. (hitting the green)

This may be a case where the ironic quotes is (at least unintentionally) appropriate. Traditionally, "Golf" means "19th hole" - get around the course as quickly as possible (or walk straight from the 1st tee to the clubhouse), then hang out in the bar at the country club flirting with the waitresses.
