How come there's no quotes on the Thai version?

I think blackbeard's post is the best response to sitboaf's question. Another possibility: does Thai even have quotation marks?

As I understand it, it has only been recently that written Thai has incorporated quotation marks, and I don't know how universal it is even now. However, I'm sure that wherever quotation marks are used in Thai, they're probably misused just as frequently as anywhere else. :)
