The submitter does not know why these dentists have assumed pseudonyms, and neither do I, nor why their pseudonyms are so common. I'd go with something awesome if I was going to pick a dentist name, like Dr. Awesome.
Call me a fool bethany but i'm lost on emilymichelle's comment. To Lois i say, i thought he was the SMART one. It's so much more difficult to track someone down if they have an alias surname....
Color me old?... When I was growing up you use quotations when writing your whole name to identify which name you preferred to be called or you used it for a nickname that you wanted to be called. Perhaps these are suppose to identify which name, after Dr., that they wish to be called. Especially since there are 2 Marcs.
Since this is a kids' dentist, the quotes are there to let parents know that the doctors are on a first-name basis with their patients. To a child, "We're going to see Dr. Marc" sounds less intimidating than "We're going to see Dr. Adelberg".
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

My question is why is Dr. Marc using an assumed LAST name?
+5! +10! Cool nickname!
I know this is early, but I think emilymichelle won the thread.

I think what toep was trying to say was Double Deuce.
And From CS n LA, you can keep putting the name you'd like to be called in quotation marks, and I will keep making fun of you.
Strong bad jokes never get old.

Love the homestar reference.
