Ok, so I think you might mean to have typed Arabic, but I'm also inclined to think you may have meant Aramaic. Though because this is Dodger's stadium, I'm thinking it's more than likely the Latin alphabet you mean.

Yeah, you're thinking Arabic numbers. We use the Latin alphabet.
Hey, I'm not sure if this is the proper way to submit a picture, but I saw this sign on a recent trip and thought of your blog. There's a close-up of the picture as well, taken in the DFW airport.
My first thought was that the airport would actually prefer some lousy companies so they don't have to pay them as much. Personally though, I'd be concerned about this "Uncle Sam" character.
Unrelated to quotation marks, I also saw this sign and found it unbelievably hilarious. That might have been due to the 9+ hours of traveling that day, though.

I think they got it right. In my understanding you read music when you are reading a tab or a partiture. But you can´t read music, so "read" music.
I came across your blog for the first time today and looking at all of it so sorry for such a late comment.
Just for historical interest's sake, I am assuming that refers to the Dodgers Sym-Phony, a group of (alleged) musicians that used to play in the stands at Ebbets Field in the 1940s and 1950s. The group has been mentioned in more than one history of the Brooklyn Dodgers and also in Ken Burns' documentary.
