Thinking along the lines of lattegirl's comment - must be my family's bakery.. i wouldn't be surprised, one of them probably blacked out and started it "in 1985"

Pshaw.. they started making them last Tuesday but they put so much effort into making the pretty sign that they wanted to have something to boast about, unfortunately they misprinted and put "1985" instead of "1885" which obviously would be more impressive..
They could be actually quoting someone else....
