I've always thought that unnecessary quotation marks are funny (not my pet peeve).

I love this one! I actually think they may have put those there on purpose - I can only imagine the excuses one must hear as a parking attendant!

As others have already pointed out, the issue that the attendants must deal with is someone saying, "I have a lost ticket!!!" They do not search the car to see if the ticket is really lost. Nevertheless, if you say you have a "lost ticket" you will be charged at least one day.

Which actually sounds like a good deal if you've been parked for a week....
