I like the second half, wherein (after clearing you to fully ignore it) it goes on to state that whenever you are 'using a credit card' or 'cashing a check' {or perhaps "casing the joint" or "dealing drugs"} we will 'protect' you by questionng your identity.
Wow, this is awesome. Unnecessary quotation marks, Random Capitalization, random hyphen~ation, unnecessary apostrophe's.... It's like someone purposefully set out to make as many grammar and punctuation errors as possible in one sign.
The quotes around "Your protection only" are appropriate, at least. This is not a policy for your protection, but for the owner of the credit card you're trying to use. They are granting a very limited assumption that this person is also "you", which doesn't extend to allowing you to walk away with that case of cigarettes before proving the point.

I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

Looks like someone just learned how to make words bold and underlined. Ugh, this one gives me a headache.
This is perfect for the blog of unnecessary boldness too.

This looks like a greatest hit to me!
Good God! This one makes my brain hurt.
to top it off, forcing credit card users to show ID is prohibited by the merchant agreements for both visa and mastercard.
