In the small town I grew up in, there was a restaurant that purported to serve Italian cuisine, and promised "wine" as a component of one of their dishes. I still have no idea what the hell they meant by that. Also: most alarm clocks I've ever bought in my life have a pretty solemn warning against the "new component odor" that will accompany their product when fresh out of the box. That makes it seem like "new component odor" is a colloquialism, and is the sort of slang used by the roughnecks down at the corner bar.More to come.
Maybe they're just quoting the critics, as inUSA Today says "HIGH TECH"
