if you call that coffee

Kristor saw this at Drake University in Des Moines Iowa. Evidently the coffee is pretty lousy.

This blog makes me laugh! (English teacher and hater of unnecessary punctuation here.) You're on my blogroll, so I can get a daily dose. =)

I just got a "latte" at Starbucks, myself!

Anyone else here tempted to just cover up the "Coffee" part of the sign so it simply reads "Drink and Drive"? I bet that one would go over well with the various law enforcement agencies...

I drive past this coffee shop fairly regularly, and there is a utility box (which you can kind of see on the left side of the photo) that blocks the word "Coffee" until just before you reach the intersection. From a distance, the sign does appear to be encouraging you to drink and drive.

At least they're not setting you up for a letdown.

i totally just sent in this same picture except for a different store in Ames, IA. apparently there is more than one of these neon signs around which worries me. covering up "coffee" is brilliant!

I almost sent in the one from Ames, too. Perhaps "coffee" is a PC euphemism for "alcohol" - if it's "coffee" then it's ok...

Maybe it's Irish coffee?
