or pretend to ask

This is really a typographical masterpiece, between the all caps (except for one phrase in the directions to managers) and the ridiculous clip art. The quotation marks leave ambiguous whether cashiers can also signal with their hands for a club card, and who will be held accountable, really. Thanks, Yumi.

BUT DIDN'T YOU KNOW YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO TYPE IN CAPS? IT'S THE NEW GRAMMATICAL RULE!

Not only is it a typographical masterpiece, it's also AN "EXCELLENT EXAMPLE" OF good management.

Add to that requiring every single customer to be signed up, apparently against their will if necessary. Of course if challenged on this they would probably back down from the overly sensationalist wording, which makes the over the top stress on "100%" etc. all the more annoying.

Where IS this Nazi Death Camp, Bethany? I need to know so that I don't venture even close to it...

Um, notwithstanding the creative punctuation, I happen to enjoy the command, "Managers - you will enforce this now!"

The graphic at the top appears to show a group of employees encircling and beating to death a customer who refused to sign up for the card.

I particularly like the threatening five-dot ellipsis AND a bit more blank space before the "100%" hits us. Very 'effective'.

Between their awesome grammatical abilities and their terrific club card policy I'll bet this is a "great" place to work and shop.
