I'm wondering about the fact that "3 X Trim" is also in red, in the upper left. It's almost as though the instructions were to write the word "NOW" 3 times as big, or to write it three times ("Now, now, now!") but the printer wrote out the instructions instead of doing what the instructions said (?)
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

Isn't it obvious? What they mean is that the future is the word "now". ;-)
(The parentheses are still inexplicable, though.)
Somehow, the "now" doesn't seem very convincing.
The future is "come fly with a friend," of course!
Dang it, sotosoroto, you beat my punchline by about 90 minutes. Well played.
I actually read this and left the word now out entirely.
It's confusing.
Ignoring the punctuation errors, that's a terrible sign anyway! Why is ("NOW!")? And why is it another colour? And off to the side?
Arrrggh!
Sign-writers union need to come pay them a little visit I think.
