instructions for the "flushing device"

This one is just too good. Also, why is "clearing of the apparatus" NOT in quotation marks? and random capitalization, classic. Thanks, Dave.

if it's neither a handle nor a flushing device, then what IS it? a hole in the ground?

One of the best ones I've seen on here in a while. How appropriate that this ridiculous sign is about a commode.

why don't we have a house devoted entirely to subs replete with devices and proceedurals and apparati where i'm from? oh skip, darling, your unpermissive approach toward bathroom conduct disarms me. i'd hold it down a good 4-6 seconds just for you.

I guess Skippy moved up from the Der Weinershnitzel to the the "Sub House"

Yeah, I hate it when there's apparatus left in the john.
