Kerry saw this in Vancouver, BC. I really like that there's an ATM mere feet away, and this mysterious thing that someone might call a "bank machine" that you can take a risk with.
Oh that one is sooooo good! It activates all those inner horrors that you may be depositing money into a phony machine or perhaps it's a Candid Camera "bank machine."
hmmm, the two signs look like they might be under the same awning and may be refering to the same piece of equipment. maybe the different wording is for people who wouldn't understand the other wording in this multi-language city of ours. i like to think there's a third sign for the same ATM that says Cash-Giver Here.
Y'see that there? Thems one of those new-fangled "bank machines." I hear thems like a bank only tiny and it's got lots of buttons. Dun trust the durn things m'self. I ain't givin' my money to no machine.
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

i also like to think that ATM and the pretend Cash-Giver both have quotation marks around them
Is that like the way they say washrooms and aboot?

is that anything like a love machine?
Maybe it's a scrupulous scam artist. We've installed a "bank machine". Please enter your digits and deposit cash.
Oh -- I'm awfully sorry -- did you think this was a bank machine?
