Found on Clark street in Downtown Chicago. I don't know if it's some kind of hip cabaret or perhaps a popcorn and nut shoppe, but it's on Clark - that one thing is certain. Thanks to D'Arcy for that one.
teri, when I lived in Chicago, they had street vendors selling hot nuts out of a cart with the "Nuts On Clark" sign, so that may be what you're thinking of. As far as I recall, they were usually stationed in high traffic, high tourist areas, ala Michigan Ave and accessible areas of Grant Park.
Its a fine Chicago landmark not far from Wrigley Field that sells pcans and the like. Improv actors love to have their picture taken in front of the sign.
Please send your submissions via email to bethanykeeley (at) gmail.com. I look at them all, but it might take a while to get to yours -- sorry! I love you all, but I only have so much energy in a day.
If you want your picture to make the blog DO NOT @tweet them, or leave them in a comment. I need them all in the same place. Make sure your emails are easily distinguishable from spam or viruses (I use gmail web interface, so images get previews).
I don't usually post the following: newspaper headlines, personal email, craigslist postings, unprofessional websites. I also tend to not crosspost things from other blogs, since I have so much unique material waiting for me to get to it.
Things I see a lot: silica gel "do not eat"; hair dryer labels; inside the bus "do not drill"; Wal-mart sign about IDs; coffee machine with "2" cup sizes; employees must "wash hands"; that failblog post.

Their website consistently refers to the business as "NUTS ON CLARK," because quotation marks just aren't enough.
by the way, they sell nuts.
Don't they have a branch that isn't on Clark? I can't remember, but I feel like I've seen this when I wasn't on Clark Street...
