Spotted in the window of a bridal shop by Jessica.

Even if things didn't start yet, you can imagine that there might be some confusion about the Fall.

That's totally appropriate. It's autumn, not fall! ;)

Maybe the owner assumes they'll start the new hours on the wrong day and is using the quotes to avoid a lawsuit.

Haha, I love coming to this blog every time I need a good chuckle.

However, since it is a blog all about grammar and punctuation, I do have to tease you for your misplaced modifier in this sentence: Spotted in the window of a bridal shop by Jessica.

I assume the sign was spotted by Jessica rather rather than the bridal shop being operated by Jessica?
