Wicked awesome! I smell a New-Englander!

And what's with that font? I'm guessing it's some "Olde-Worlde" style place, and the quotes are meant to say "I don't know what witchcraft this 'wi-fi' be, but I'll not charge you for it."

Come on. "Wi-fi" is a bit of a stretch from "wireless"; maybe their clientele isn't so conversant with Internet jargon.

"Free" and "paying customers" on the same sign always makes for fun times.

I think what happens is when you walk in the store you hear that ancient old AOL sound, you know, bing...bong...bing...bong...screechhhhhh...it's nostalgic.

Ahh, dial-up screech - a sound that will be forever associated with the 90s.
Did cafes ever offer free "dial-up" to their paying customers?

I "did time" on the East coast for three years.

I hate the Papyrus font. Does anyone know how to write a virus that will remove that and Comic Sans from every computer on the planet?

The proprietor of this particular establishment asked if we wanted the internet turned on when we arrived. One of my companions asked, "What?!?! is the whole internet off right now?"
