an office or whatever

A submitter who prefers to remain anonymous sent me this. Talk about a front for the mob...

No, that huge gambling debt you owe me is no problem at all. Don't even worry about it. These are my friends, Vinny and Guido. They're going to take you down to the "office" to do some "paperwork." heh heh heh...

That is especially bizarre to see unnecessary quotes on a large, permanent sign on the side of a building. They pr'y had to pay extra for the quotation marks. :-)

Man, I love this blog. You have opened new "vistas" for me. Or should I write "new" vistas? Which is more unnecessary? Can there be gradations of necessity?

I want to "me too" (necessary!) with sawdust as well--paying extra for the 3-D quotes should have slowed someone down enough to think about this.

I was going to say exactly what sawdust said.

Definitely a highly "professional" complex...

I'm thinking there was originally a request to have a sign made for Northwest Center a note or fax at some point to the sign manufacturer asking to add "Office" between the two words in the sign.

So maybe the "office" people had bad punctuation or maybe the sign people were just way literal. In any event it happened, and we can all be thankful for it.
