here's some "art"

Jessica sent me this. I'm sure this promoter put quotation marks around the term "works of art" because craft isn't usually considered art, but if they're going to call it art, they should call it that without hedging.

UPDATE: Jessica says that these were paintings, so nevermind, it's just crazy.

Why bother hiding the artist's and PR contact's names when the name of the museum and it's street address are right there for anyone to Google (and conceivably find the museum website the uncensored names)?

I posted it the way I got it. Maybe the submitter wanted to save the artist from embarrassment. And who's going to bother to google it?

Maybe "art" of the sea is like "chicken" of the sea.

I hid the name because the artist is a family member and I didn't want him to be associated with the museums mistake. He had nothing to do with the invitation so I didn't feel it relevant.

I'd be pissed if I were you, Jessica. The Elliott obviously doesn't think much of your family member's art! ;)
