"excellent"


Thanks to Kat for this. I'm pretty sure I don't want my kids at an "excellent" school...

Just so you know, public schools are officially ranked using terms like "Excellent" or "Emergency".

"Excellent" could be used in quotes here if the sign is quoting a recent report or a perhaps a comment from a well-know education pundit. In my local area, for example, the term "Blue-Ribbon" refers to an excellent school and could arguably be used in quotes.
